Dharan. Sunsari: Three persons were killed and 15 others injured when two vehicles collided with each other on the East-West Highway at Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-3, Jaluwatol in Sunsari.

A passenger bus (May 1 Kha 1799) en route to Diktel from Kakarvitta collided with a microbus (Province 2-01-001 Ja 0047) coming from the opposite direction this morning, said District Police Office, Sunsari Police Spokesperson Yograj Khatiwada. According to him, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Inaruwa, Biratnagar Neuro and Nobel Hospitals. Police spokesperson Khatiwada said that the bus driver Gopal Adhikari of Arjundhara Municipality-1, Jhapa has been taken into custody and further investigation into the incident is underway.
