Baglung. Baglung section of kaligandaki corridor has been closed for the past three days due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.

A landslide with rocks at Kalakhola Bagar of Baglung Municipality-13 in Baglung section of the corridor, which is a project of national pride, had blocked the road on Saturday. Though two excavators were used throughout the day to clear the blocked road on Sunday, the road could not be opened so far due to the landslide, said Superintendent of Police Tilak Bharti, chief of the District Police Office.

Commuters have been facing problems due to the suspension of traffic on the section. There is a problem in opening the road due to landslides with big rocks. In coordination with the Kaligandaki Corridor Project, the landslide removal work has resumed from this morning.
