Mugu. The Gamgadhi-Balai-Pina road section has been completely blocked due to floods and landslides. The road has been blocked for nearly two months due to landslides triggered by incessant rains.

Soil and stones have piled up in different parts of the road and it has become difficult to walk due to the collapse of the road in some places. Due to the closure of the road, the locals have been forced to use the alternative long route. There has been a problem in the transportation of food and medicines.

According to local Dan Bahadur Shahi, landslides have occurred everywhere. The mud has been washed away and people have trouble walking. No attention has been paid to the opening of the blocked road.

Meanwhile, Acting Mayor of Chhayanath Rara Municipality, Aishwarya Malla, said the landslide would be cleared as soon as the rain stops. He informed that equipment including dozers are ready.
