Forest Minister Shahi meets MCC Assistant Vice President Bingel

Kathmandu. Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri held a meeting with MCC Assistant Vice-President John Wingle. During the meeting held at the Ministry today, Minister Shahi expressed gratitude to the US government for its continued support to nepal’s overall development.

Lauding the US government for its continued cooperation for the MCC project, he said that with this launch, the government’s efforts to increase connectivity in Nepal, including high-quality transmission lines and upgradation, are coming true.

Stating that the implementation of the project has strengthened bilateral relations and added confidence among each other, Minister Shahi said that the transmission line project has not only facilitated nepal’s internal power supply but also facilitated electricity trade between Nepal and India. He expressed confidence that Nepal’s electricity would be connected with the rest of Asia.

Wingal, assistant vice-president, expressed concern over the implementation of the MCC project.
