Kathmandu. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, has said that all the 77 district branches of the Land Problem Resolution Commission are working to solve the problems of the landless, Dalits and unsettled settlers.
According to Minister Adhikari, work is underway to ensure that millions of people will get land parcels within a few months. Speaking at the annual review seminar organized by the Central Office of the Land Problem Resolution Commission here today, Minister Adhikari said that this commission would be the last to solve the land problem and it would solve all kinds of problems.
He recalled that the present government had given the commission the responsibility of resolving all the problems and not to dissolve it with clear instructions. He said that the commission, formed on October 12, 2081 BS, has also focused on opening branches in 77 districts in eight months, collecting data of the landless and distributing land parcels.
On the occasion, Prime Minister K.P. Sarma Oli said that Minister Adhikari has taken special initiatives to solve the land problem and inaugurated the seminar through Minister Adhikari without inaugurating it. On the occasion, the Prime Minister directed all to create history by giving land parcels to all.
