Kathmandu. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka paid a courtesy call on John Wingal, Assistant Vice President of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a US grant-in-aid project.

During the meeting today, Minister Khadka expressed gratitude to MCC for its support in the development of Nepal’s energy sector. He appreciated the collaboration for the MCC project.

Minister Khadka expressed the belief that with the launch of the MCC project, high-quality transmission lines would be constructed and nepal’s target of energy development would be fulfilled. Minister Khadka stressed the need to move ahead by strengthening bilateral relations for the implementation of the MCC project.

MCC Assistant Vice-President Wingal urged the Minister to facilitate the problems of land acquisition and forestry regarding the implementation of the MCC project.
