Birgunj. Parsa: A total of 191 chemical fertilisers have been recovered from their houses at Kataiya of Sakhuwa Prasauni rural municipality-3 in Parsa district.
A joint team of Agricultural Materials Company, Salt Trading Corporation and District Police Office under the leadership of The District Administration Office seized 191 sacks of fertilizers from two places on Wednesday night.
Sanjay Kumar Gupta, information officer at the Salt Trading Corporation Provincial Office, Birgunj, said that the fertilizer was recovered during the monitoring.
“It was found that the fertilizer was being sold at a price higher than the price as there was no permission to sell the fertilizer,” he said, adding, “Although the fertilizer has been recovered, the person involved in the fertilizer business is absconding.” The monitoring committee recovered 27 sacks of DAP and 23 sacks of potash from the house of Younis Ansari, also known as Dhandi Ansari of Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality-3, Kataiya.
The team recovered 141 sacks of chemical fertilizers hidden in his house by Shah Mohammad Ansari, owner of Shah Mohammad Fertilizer Store in the same area. Nine sacks of DAP fertilizer, 18 bags of potash fertilizer and 114 bags of single super phosphate fertilizer were recovered.
