Kathmandu. The monsoon is slightly weak in Nepal as the monsoon trough is located in the southern part of the country. However, the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that water vapour-rich air continues to enter from the Bay of Bengal.

According to the Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of The Himalayan and Tarai provinces of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and SudurPashchim provinces and at one or two places of Tarai of Madhes province. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the country tonight. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly region and one or two places of the Tarai region and at one or two places of the tarai region. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi Province, the Division said.
