Karnali. Chief Minister of Karnali State, Yamlal Kandel, has said that the environment should be kept clean for healthy human life.
Addressing a ‘Mega Sanitation Programme’ organized by Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Birendranagar today on the occasion of The Karnali State Foundation and Martyrs’ Day, he said that environmental cleanliness would help build a civilized and prosperous society.
In this regard, all stakeholders should fulfill their duties and responsibilities and not just their rights, he stressed.
“Keep the front courtyard of your house clean and it also makes the guests coming from outside happy,” he said, adding, “Cleanliness not only leads to a healthy life, it also gives the identity of a civilized and conscious citizen and attracts external guests.” Chief Minister Kandel urged the industrialists and businessmen to carry out creative works to convert waste into seals as much as possible and said that human health would be kept healthy and clean through nature-friendly activities.
He also appealed to the people of the state to celebrate the day of August 15 as a three-day celebration to honour the sons who contributed to bring cleanliness, awareness and order and fulfill their dreams.
Chiefs of security bodies, Birendranagar Municipality Deputy Mayor Nilkantha Khanal, President of The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Surkhet, Harsh Bikram Khadka and other stakeholders were present on the occasion.
