Myagdi. The Beni-Jomsom road connecting Mustang with the national highway and the Beni-Darbang road connecting three local levels of Myagdi to beni bazaar, the district headquarters, has been obstructed since this morning.

Myagdi section of the 76-km-long Beni-Jomsom road has been completely blocked due to landslides at Majkharka of Raghuganga rural municipality-2, Sukebagar of Annapurna rural municipality-3 and Mahabhir of 7, police said.

Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Bishal Darji, said the beni-Darbang road connecting Mangala, Malika and Dhaulagiri rural municipalities has been obstructed due to landslide at Faparkhet on the border of Beni municipality-4 and Mangala rural municipality-2.

Vehicular traffic from the district headquarters Beni to rural areas has been cut off due to the road blockade and normal life has been affected here. Efforts are being made to open the Beni-Jomsom road through the Department of Roads and infrastructure development office using dozers, police said.
