Mahottari. Police have arrested an Indian national with clothes worth Rs 2,105,699 from Gaushalabazar.

According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, a team under the command of Police Inspector Ramesh Lama conducted a raid from the Area Police Office, Gaushala.

Manoj Raya, 36, of Kolkata, West Bengal province of India, was arrested by the police while he was living in a one-storey house of Subodh Yadav at Gaushala Bazaar of Gaushala Municipality-5, said Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Kumar Bhatta.

The clothes collected by evading customs duty have been seized. Similarly, dried skin of a deer was also recovered from the same place.

Work is underway to hand over the seized clothes to the District Customs Office for necessary action. According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, further investigation is underway.
