Birgunj. Birgunj: The District Police have arrested two persons from Birgunj with rs 1,413,500 undisclosed amount.

The arrestees have been identified as Sanjay Sah, 39, of Ghusukpur of Birgunj Metropolitan City-2 and Shani Kumar Thakur, 41, of Mahagadhimai Municipality in Bara. Parsa Police Spokesperson Subash Bhatta said that the birgunj metropolitan city’s Ghusukpur Idgah Chowk road section has been constructed. Motorcycles (BR 05 AB 7761) and Province 2-03-002 Pa 5544 with plates were intercepted on Thursday.

“Rs 413,500 of 827 notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 denominations of Rs 1,000 denomination have been recovered from the motorcycle,” he said, adding that the police have extended the remand of the two arrested persons for five days in accordance with Section 125 (a) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 2074 BS. ’
