Rs 138 billion allocated for education, 130 million more than last year

Kathmandu. Although various universities and educational institutions are operating for higher education in the country, a large amount of money is going abroad.

According to the nepal rastra bank(NRB) data for the fiscal year 2081/82 BS, rs 138.48 billion has been allocated for education alone. In the previous fiscal year, Rs 125.13 billion was allocated for educational activities.

According to the central bank, the travel expenditure under the service account has increased by 18.1 percent to Rs 223.72 billion. In the previous fiscal year, the travel expenditure was Rs 189.43 billion.

Net service income stood at Rs 90.94 billion in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. In the previous fiscal year, the net service income was Rs 55.86 billion.

In the review year under the service account, the import of visits has increased by 7.7 percent to Rs 88.66 billion. In the previous year, such income was Rs 82.33 billion.
