Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has formed the Constitution Day and National Day-2082 Main Celebration Committee to celebrate the completion of a decade of promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal this year.
National Day is celebrated as the national day when the Constituent Assembly elected by the people promulgated the constitution with the provision of federal democratic republic on September 12, 2019 as the achievement of the sacrifice and long struggle of the Nepali people. The Government of Nepal is preparing to make the day more joyous and grand as it has been 10 years since the promulgation of the constitution this year.
A meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar on Sunday formed the main celebration committee to celebrate the day by organizing various programs including Deepawali at the Nepali embassies and missions in Nepal and abroad.
Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and State Ministers, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, Chief of Army Staff of the Nepal Army, Secretaries to the Government of Nepal and gazetted officers of special category, chiefs and deputy chiefs of local levels of Kathmandu Valley, chiefs of security bodies and secretaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs will be members of the main function committee. The meeting has also formed a thematic sub-committee.
On the occasion of the day, the main function will be held at The Army Forum, Tundikhel in Kathmandu in the presence of the general public. Similarly, national anthem and national day concert and tableau exhibition have been proposed on the occasion.
On the occasion of the day, it has been proposed to make arrangements for broadcasting and publishing on electronic and print media and social media including Radio Nepal, Nepal Television, community or private sector by producing and conducting creative and creative programs such as special dialogues, symposiums and message-oriented dramas focusing on the historical background of the current constitution making, the importance of the constitution, the underlying aspects of the constitution.
Addressing the meeting, PRIME Minister Oli urged the people to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the promulgation of the constitution at the national and people’s level. He said the constitution should be linked with development, nationalism, modernity, fundamental rights, women empowerment, character of inclusivity, pro-people state, culture, etc. Prime Minister Oli urged the government to organize programmes at ward and school levels and to integrate the people with the achievements and importance of the constitution.
