Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the low pressure line of the monsoon is located in the south of the average in the east and around the average place in the west.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country today with chances of moderate rainfall at a few places of the hilly region including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of the Tarai region. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country including Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces tonight and partly cloudy in the rest of the country. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

The Division has urged all to remain alert and make preparations, predicting that there is a risk of landslides and debris flow of rain, the water level in big and small rivers and rivulets may rise and the transport sector may be affected.
