Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to visit China leading a Nepali delegation to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SEO) Summit at the friendly invitation of The People’s Republic of China President Xi Jinping.
Prime Minister Oli will leave for China on September 12 to participate in the summit and the 80th anniversary of his resistance to Japanese aggression through The People’s War of China and victory in the world war against fascism, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prime Minister Oli will hold a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin. He will address the summit to be held in Tianjin on September 1. On the occasion, PM Oli will also hold meetings with some world leaders participating in the summit. Similarly, Prime Minister Oli held a meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng in Beijing on September 2.
Prime Minister Oli will participate in the 80th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and The War against Global Fascism to be held in Beijing on September 3.
Pm Oli will be accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Panta, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, Nepali Congress lawmaker Purna Bahadur Khadka, Pm’s Economic and Development Advisor Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, CPN-UML lawmaker Chhabilal Bishwakarma and high-level government officials. Prime Minister Oli will return home on September 14.
