Sunsari. The water level in saptakoshi river has increased. According to District Police Office, Sunsari Police Spokesperson Yograj Khatiwada, the water level measurement carried out at 10 pm on Sunday showed that the water flow in koshi barrage reached 226,560 cusecs per second.

At 2 pm on Sunday, 23 gates were opened while measuring the flow of water per second at 174,375. Spokesperson Khatiwada said that out of 56 gates of Koshi Barrage, 31 have now been opened. Red lights are lit as a sign of danger when the water level crosses 150,000 cusecs in the Koshi Barrage. According to the control room, a red light was lit accordingly.

Police spokesperson Khatiwada said that the water level is rising due to the rain in the hilly region.
