Baglung. The landslide has disrupted the Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road, a national priority project. The road has been obstructed due to landslide at Dharabot of Dhorpatan municipality-7 due to heavy rainfall.

Tourists returning and going to Dhorpatan have been stranded due to the road blockade. Ananda Basnet, chief of the Area Police Office, said that the road, which was blocked by landslide on Monday evening, has not yet been opened. He said it would take time to open the road as the landslide was too big.

Basnet said that the locals are also facing problems in commuting due to lack of alternative roads. He said that efforts were made to open the road in the evening, but it could not be done due to rain. He said that equipment has been used to open the road since morning.

“There has been a problem in opening the road due to the landslide, machines have been used since morning, it seems that it will take more time,” he said. Police have urged tourists to visit Dhorpatan only after understanding the weather and road conditions.
