Land revenue buyer arrested with Rs 2 00,000 bribe

Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Gyanendra Prasad Bhandari, a buyer at the Land Revenue Office, Dhulikhel (Kavrepalanchowk), with a bribe of Rs 200,000.

A team from the Commission’s central office, Tangal, arrested him while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 200,000 from a service seeker for the purpose of registering the land in the name of the land owner in the field book of Dolalghat VDC-7 of Kavrepalanchowk.

The Commission arrested Bhandari from the premises of the Land Revenue Office, Dhulikhel. The COMMISSION has also seized a mobile phone from Bhandari. Commission spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel said further investigation was underway against bhandari.
