Banke. Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City has brought into operation ‘Animal Ambulance’ for the rescue of injured or disabled animals.
Achyut Gautam, chief of the animal health section of the sub-metropolis, said that with the operation of the ambulance, it will be easier to transport the injured, weak, sick or disabled animals to the hospital or shelter.
According to him, an NGO named ‘Animal Nepal’ handed over the animal ambulance to the sub-metropolis. Stray cattle have been involved in road accidents in Nepalgunj.
Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Prashant Bista said the ambulance would be used to the maximum and expressed the belief that it would facilitate the rescue and management of the animals.
Chairperson of Animal Nepal Shobha Rayamajhi said that animal ambulance has been provided to the sub-metropolitan city to make it easier for the accidented, weak, sick or disabled animals to reach the hospital or shelter.
