Civil Hospital adds doctors to emergency wards for agitating injured

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has issued a circular to the hospitals to provide free health treatment to those injured during the Genji agitation.

At the initiation of Minister for Health and Population Pradip Poudel, the Ministry has sent a letter to the hospitals to provide health treatment to the injured free of cost.

The Ministry has laid special emphasis on human resource management in view of the increasing number of patients in the emergency ward of the hospital while more health workers are being treated in the emergency ward.

According to Minister Poudel’s secretariat, 6 security personnel including 4 doctors have been mobilized to assist in the emergency ward of Civil Hospital. The Trauma Center of Bir Hospital is treating the patients at full capacity.

24-hour hotline 1115

The ministry has decided to use the ministry’s hotline Hello Health 24 hours a day to prevent blood shortage for the injured patients.

The Ministry has stated that any patient or hospital can inform about blood shortage by dialing 1115.

The Ministry of Health and Population has made arrangements through the Emergency Operation Center to make ambulance service more effective and easily available to various places in need.

Arrangements have been made to the ambulance network of the Kathmandu Valley to facilitate the patients referred from the hospital to another hospital.

The Ministry has also appealed to all doctors and health workers to work together in providing treatment to the injured.
