Kathmandu. The Nepal Army has taken to the streets since this morning. The Nepal Army has taken to the streets of Kathmandu since early morning after the demonstration turned into vandalism, arson and personal attacks.
Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sikdel, in his address to the security forces, said security personnel including Nepal Army have taken charge of the security from 10:00 pm on Tuesday evening.
The army is urging people not to go out of their homes except for essential work. The protesters vandalized the Parliament Building, Singha Durbar, Sheetal Niwas, Supreme Court, Special Court, Kathmandu District Court and other government structures and the houses of political leaders.
