Nepalgunj. Five people were killed and seven others injured in a clash at a juvenile correction centre in Naubasta.

According to Jalandhar Bhusal, chief of Naubasta Prison, the children were killed in a scuffle when they tried to break open the gate. He said 149 of the 585 prisoners and 76 escaped from juvenile detention centers.

The injured were taken to Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj. Five of the injured died while undergoing treatment. Other injured are undergoing treatment at different health facilities in the district.
