Kathmandu. The government has declared a public holiday on September 1.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has said that it will observe a national mourning on Wednesday as a mark of respect to the victims of the Jenji agitation on September 23 and 24. The government has decided to give a public holiday at all government offices, Nepali embassies and diplomatic missions across the country tomorrow.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on September 14 decided to give a public holiday and fly the national flag at half-mast today.
