Kathmandu. Today, Kaligadhs are celebrating Vastu Diwas and Vishwakarma Puja festival by worshiping Vishwakarma. Like every year, Vishwakarma is being worshiped on the day of Ashwin Sankranti.

This day is celebrated by worshiping the sand idols or pictures of Lord Vishwakarma in various factories. This day is celebrated by decorating the factories in a special way and involving the workers. The idol of Bishwakarma made of sand and other materials is taken to the Bagmati source site, Sundarijal or other pure places. The idol is taken to the river from Thursday after worshiping today.

There is a religious belief that worshiping the various tools used by Kaligadh on this day will bring good qualities such as longevity, do not get spoiled during the work and can be done well.

There is a religious belief that after Lord Krishna was tormented by demons in the Dwapar Yuga, Vishwakarma hid it in the middle of the ocean by making ‘Bhed Dwarka’. According to theologian Prof Toyaraj Nepal, the construction of ‘Bhed Dwarka’ in the middle of the sea in a single night has been a tradition of worshiping Bishwakarma as a successful architect.

Dwarka is considered to be the protector of the western direction of ancient India. It is believed that the ‘Bhed Dwarka’ built by Vishwakarma is still situated in the middle of the sea in the Indian state of Gujarat. Vishwakarma is considered to be a special expert in Vastu Vidya. Vastu Shastra Shiva Pokharel said that he is believed to have composed the book ‘Bishwakarma Prakash’.

In this remembrance, the Kaligadhs of Nepal worship Vishwakarma Baba in a grand way today and honor his scholarship. It is believed that by doing this, one will get the qualities of Vishwakarma. In this belief, worship is also performed in engine-fitted vehicles today.

This day is celebrated as Vastu Day in memory of the author and scholar of the science of Vastu. In recent times, a renaissance of Vastu Vidya has started in Nepal. Sthapatya Veda, one of the four sub-Vedas, mentions the subject of Vastu Shastra. The number of people building cities and houses based on the extinct architecture is increasing. Due to this, the importance of Vastu Vidya has increased.
