Kathmandu. President of the Non-Life Insurance Entrepreneurs Association and immediate past president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Rajendra Malla, stressed the need of establishing a relief fund for the reconstruction of the people after assessing the damage caused to the national property during the agitation.
During a meeting with newly-appointed Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal, Malla pledged full support of the private sector in the reconstruction of national assets.
“We are ready to support the government as well as the private sector as well as individuals in the reconstruction of important government structures including Singha Durbar, Parliament Building and Supreme Court,” he said. ’
Malla stressed that the government should create a conducive environment for the insurance process and other facilitation for the physical damage caused to the private sector. Malla said that it was necessary to immediately bring relief programs for the entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs affected by the agitation.
He also stressed on fulfilling the aspirations of youths by creating employment environment in the country. He said that the problem would be solved to some extent if the youths were provided part-time employment.
Chairman Malla also suggested the Finance Minister to take policy steps that could increase export by emphasizing production and consumption by identifying the existing natural resources and means of the country. He said the private sector was always ready to work together with the government to steer the country towards economic stability and long-term prosperity.
