Nepalgunj. Police have arrested two persons on the charge of their involvement in the vandalism and looting of government offices in Banke district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Deepak Patali, informed that the Jayaspur chairperson Shalikram Pathak and Deepak Tamata were arrested on the charge of misappropriating the incident.
He said that Pathak was arrested from his house at Jayaspur of Nepalgunj and Tamata from Surkhet, adding that Pathak was involved in arson, vandalism and looting of Tamata.
They were arrested a few days after the District Administration Office and District Police issued a notice to provide facts, evidences and videos of those involved in vandalism, arson and looting of government offices.
Dozens of government offices were torched and looted during the demonstration in Nepalgunj.
