Phone call between PM Karki and Indian PM Modi

Kathmandu. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with Nepal’s newly-appointed Prime Minister Sushila Karki today.

During the talks, Prime Minister Karki extended best wishes to his Indian counterpart Modi on his 75th birthday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Likewise, Prime Minister Karki recalled the age-old and friendly relations between Nepal and India. He also briefed the meeting about the latest political developments in Nepal.

Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Modi also congratulated the newly elected Prime Minister of Nepal Karki. During the talks, Prime Minister Modi said that India would continue to support Nepal in the coming days as a good neighbour.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, various issues including Nepal-India relations, bilateral interests and common interests were discussed.
