Kathmandu. Seven highways across the country have been completely obstructed and 7 one-way roads have been opened due to floods and landslides.
Nepal Police has said that 6 highways have been obstructed at different places. According to Nepal Police, the Koshi Highway has been obstructed at Barun of Bhotkhola rural municipality-4 in Sankhuwasabha district due to landslide following monsoon. Similarly, the Koshi Highway has been obstructed at Makalu rural municipality-3 of Sankhuwasabha.
MYAGDI: The Beni-Darbang road section has been completely blocked at Ghumane cliff of Beni municipality-4 in Myagdi, according to police. The Jajarkot-Dolpa road section has been completely obstructed at Bhirkunama of Nalgad municipality-11 in Jajarkot district.
A bridge linking Nepal to China has been swept away at Gosainkunda rural municipality in Rasuwa district. The Araniko Highway has been obstructed at Kodari of Bhotekoshi rural municipality-2 in Sindhupalchowk district. This section has been closed for almost two months.
Similarly, the Narayangadh-Muglin road section has been obstructed due to a landslide near Tuin Bridge. Efforts are underway to bring the vehicular movement into operation using three equipment. But it has become challenging as landslides are falling. The landslide started near the Tuin bridge on Friday evening.
