Nepal is ready to welcome tourists, says Bangladesh Tourism Board

Bangladesh. KATHMANDU: Nepal has been invited to visit the 12th Asian Tourism Fair held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has disseminated the message that Nepal is ready to welcome tourists at the international fair, Basundhara, held at Convention City, Basundhara, Dhaka, from September 18 to September 18.

This is the first big participation of tourism companies from Nepal in the international fair after the challenges faced by Nepal during the recent Genji movement. This has sent a message to the tourism entrepreneurs and tourists of Bangladesh that Nepal has returned to normalcy and is ready to welcome the tourists safely.

Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Ghanashyam Bhandari, addressing the inaugural session of the fair, said that Nepal’s tourism industry is making rapid progress despite various

challenges.

A total of 150 organizations from eight different countries took part in the expo. A total of 180 stalls showcased tourism related services and packages. A total of 10 companies including Nepal Tourism Board, Himalayan Club Tours and Travels Nepal, Nepal Big Mountain Travel Company, The Trek Nepal, Go Nepal Travel Tours and Trekking, Snoobee Horizon Treks and Expedition, Classical Adventure Nepal, Himalgari Travel and Tours, Female Guide Kathmandu, Kathmandu Sweet Home, and Regulus Treks and Expedition participated in the meeting.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) said that the event in Bangladesh has sent a clear message that Nepal is safe and suitable destination for hospitality. This will help further strengthen the tourism relations between the two countries.
