Simcote. The ward office of Simkot rural municipality-8, which is geographically remote in the district, has started providing service from its own facility. The ward office was operated from a well-equipped building constructed in two years. The new two-storey ward office building has eight rooms, said ward chair Kamal Budha.
Earlier, it was difficult to operate the ward office by renting a limited room, but it has become easier after the construction of new and convenient buildings, he said.
Similarly, the solar energy supported by neighbouring Namkha rural municipality has made the work easier, he added. Internet service has also been connected a few days ago after the electricity was restored. At present, one ward secretary and two office assistants are working at the ward office.
Jaimal Budha, a service recipient of the ward, said that he felt comfortable after the service was started from the new building. The building was built at a cost of Rs 74 lakh.
