Kathmandu. The government has transferred Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kathmandu, Chhabi Rijal. The Ministry of Home Affairs has nominated Ishwar Raj Poudel as the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu.

Earlier, Chief District Officer Chhabi Rijal has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Rijal was accused of firing shots during the Genji agitation on September 23 and 24.

The government had also changed the police chief of Kathmandu, who was accused of suppressing the protests. Earlier on Tuesday, the government had transferred Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi.
