Kathmandu. The government has decided to bring the Department of Revenue Investigation and the Department of Money Laundering Investigation under the Ministry of Finance.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to bring both the departments under the Ministry of Finance. Earlier, the previous government led by KP Sharma Oli had brought both departments under the Prime Minister’s Office.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to bring the National Investigation Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to government spokesperson Jagadish Kharel, the government has decided to provide Rs 1 million each to the families of the deceased Nepali citizens (except prisoners and child prisoners who died while trying to escape) and Rs 500,000 for other expenses.
