Gaighat. Two women have been arrested with 12 kg marijuana from Kaman of Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-7. According to the District Police Office, the arrestees have been identified as Asmita Ram, 40, and Leela Devi Ram, 45, of Lahan Municipality-17, Siraha.

Kedar Man Dong, information officer at the District Police Office, Nepaltar, said that two women and their companions were arrested in possession of marijuana while patrolling the command area of Nepaltar on Saturday.

According to him, a police patrol team arrested them while they were returning home after purchasing cannabis from the hilly area of Udayapurgadhi and importing it to India via Lahan. The arrested two women have been kept at the District Police Office, Udayapur on Saturday night for further investigation.
