17 injured in road mishap

Surkhet. Surkhet: As many as 17 people were injured when an EV (Kapra 20001 Kha 1129) en route to Surkhet from Nepalgunj met with an accident at Thulo Beureni of Birendranagar municipality-11 this morning.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhawesh Rimal of Nepal Police Highway Security and Traffic Management Office, Surkhet, driver Hari Malla, 38, of Barahatal Rural Municipality-4 in Surkhet, Dipendra Damai, 18, of Chandannath Municipality-1, Jumla, Mahendra Shahi, 28, of Sinja Rural Municipality-5, Jumla and Lal Bahadur Shahi, 38, of Birendranagar Municipality-3 died in the accident. Laxmi Kathayat, 27, and Naresh Shahi, 38, of Birendranagar-11 were injured in the incident.

The other injured have been identified as Parshuram Gharti Magar, 35, of Lekbesi municipality-6, Shumsher Khadka, 23, of Dullu municipality-6, Laxman Karki, 30, of Dullu-11, Rajya Laxmi Hamal, 24, of Sinja rural municipality-3, Jumla, Ganesh Yogi, 26, of Dullu municipality-10, Dailekh, Roshan BK, 22, of Pachaljharana rural municipality-3 in Kalikot and Ain Rokaya, 22, of Sinja rural municipality-4, Jumla. The injured are Rakshya Dhital, 16, Bishnu Shahi, 22, of ward no. 5, Dinesh Shahi, 32, of Soru rural municipality-9 in Mugu and Shree Pariyar, 21, of Chandannath-1, Jumla. All the injured are undergoing treatment.
