Bar demands correction of Home Ministry’s erroneous decision, urges not to promote impunity

. KATHMANDU: Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has demanded correction of the decision taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs on September 22, terming it as erroneous. A press release issued by Bar General Secretary Kedar Prasad Koirala urged the Home Ministry to correct the erroneous decision.

“We strongly urge the government to take immediate steps to prevent impunity and to guarantee the rule of law and protect the lives and property of citizens,” the statement reads.TAG_OPEN_div_11 ”

The press release reads that a probe commission has been formed to investigate into the physical and human losses suffered during the demonstration on September 9 and 24 and the Home Ministry’s decision on September 2 TAG_OPEN_div_9 3 not to proceed with regular legal proceedings until the report of the commission is received.
