Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has protested the government’s decision to withhold the passports of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and other office-bearers.
Issuing a press release today, Chief Secretary of the NC Central Office, Krishna Prasad Poudel, drew the attention of the interim government not to encourage impunity and not to carry out vendetta politics against political parties.
The probe commission formed by the government in connection with the incident of September 7 and 24 had recommended that passport should be withheld and permission should not be taken from the Kathmandu Valley.
