Bagmati. Hetauda: Vehicular movement has been prohibited on two roads linking Kathmandu and Hetauda for three days in the evening.
Issuing a notice, Chief District Officer of Makawanpur Skim Shrestha informed that the vehicular movement along the Kanti Highway linking Hetauda-Kathmandu has been prohibited from 4:00 pm to 6:00 am on October 4 and on the Hetauda-Bhaise-Kathmandu road from 5:00 pm to 6:00 am.
As per the weather forecast issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in the district from October 3 to October 3 has restricted the operation of vehicular movement on both the roads in view of the situation.
CDO Shrestha urged all the local levels to adopt high alertness to avoid the loss of life and property in the settlements at risk of landslides and river banks.
All the stakeholders have been urged to remain alert by being in regular coordination and contact with the District Disaster Management Committee and Local Disaster Management Committee to be involved in disaster preparedness and response.
