Bhojpur. The incessant rainfall and storm has damaged paddy crops in the district. Farmers are worried after the paddy crop fell during the sowing season. Though the paddy crop had reached the maturity stage in most parts of the district till mid-September, the rain and storm damaged the paddy crop this time, according to farmers.
Paddy crops have been damaged in many places of the district, including Bokhim, Pokhare and Dawa. Paddy is cultivated in all the local levels of the district. Rup Narayan Phuyal, a local farmer of Bokhim, Bhojpur Municipality-5, said the wind that triggered the rainfall damaged his paddy crop.
According to him, the rainy season has damaged paddy crops of many farmers in Bokhim area. “Paddy crops have been damaged due to heavy rains”, he said, adding, “The paddy fields have been destroyed due to the collapse of the paddy fields. ’
