Simcote. Snowfall has started in the high hills of Humla. Snowfall has occurred in Yari, Hilsa, Limi and other high altitude areas of Namkha rural municipality in Humla since Monday evening. Sonam Gyaljen Lama, a local, said that cold has increased in Hilsa with snowfall.

Lama informed over the telephone that it had been lightly raining since Monday afternoon but snowfall this morning. Normal life here has been affected due to snowfall.

Similarly, snowfall has also occurred in the high altitude areas of Simkot rural municipality including Panchamukhi, Raling, Saipal and the high mountains of Kharpunath. Rainfall is taking place in the low altitude areas of the district including the district headquarters Simkot with snowfall.

Mukti Rawat, a local, said that cold has suddenly increased in the district headquarters Simkot. Amar Bahadur Shahi, principal of Mansarovar Namuna Secondary School, informed that the school attendance has decreased due to cold. Flights have been disrupted even at the only airport due to rain.
