Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed corruption cases at the Special Court against former Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Raj Kumar Gupta and former Land Reform Minister Ranjita Shrestha.
Pokhara—The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against 7 persons including two former ministers in the Lichibari land scam in Pokhara. They have been claimed a claim of Rs 78 lakh.
An audio clip of a bribe deal with a plan to embezzle land was made public. After the audio clip went viral, the then General Administration Minister Gupta resigned.
The anti-graft body has named Ram Chandra Adhikari, the then land revenue officer at the Land Revenue Office, Kaski and Sujan Kumar Tamang, M Kumari Gurung, Tulsiram Budha Magar and Kham Bahadur Pun as defendants in the corruption case.
