Kathmandu. Nine major highways in Province 3 have been obstructed due to floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall in different parts of the country.
Nine highways in Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali provinces have been obstructed due to incessant rain, Nepal Police Headquarters said. The Koshi Highway at Barunkhola of Bhotkhola rural municipality-4 in Sankhuwasabha and the Koshi Highway at Makalu rural municipality-3 of the same district have been obstructed.
Similarly, the floods and landslides have obstructed the Mechi Highway at Rajduwali of Ilam municipality-9 and the Tamor corridor at Nawakhola of Tumbewa rural municipality-2 in Panchthar district, shared Deputy Inspector General of Police Binod Ghimire.
Similarly, the Pasang Lhamu road section at Gosaikunda rural municipality-2 of Rasuwa, the BP highway at Mamtikhola of Roshi rural municipality-11 of Kavrepalanchowk and the BP Highway at Sunkoshi rural municipality-1, Nepalthok of Sindhuli have also been obstructed.
Similarly, the Karnali corridor at Kurilla of Kharpunath rural municipality-5 in Humla and the Karnali corridor at Jugenikhola of Pachaljharana rural municipality-8 in Kalikot have been completely obstructed.
The Koshi Highway at Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-1 of Dhankuta, the Kanti Highway at Baguwakhola of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 of Makwanpur and the Kanti Highway at Bakaiya Rural Municipality-11 of Makwanpur have been obstructed due to incessant rain.
