11 more arrested in Kavre for vandalism, arson of Jenji agitation

Kabhrepalanchok. KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have arrested eleven more people on the charge of their involvement in vandalism, arson and other incidents in Kavre during the ‘Jenji’ demonstration in the third week of August. They were re-arrested immediately after they were released on bail from the District Court and the District Administration Office.

After submitting the bail, the police arrested him from the same place and again filed a case of indecent behavior.TAG_OPEN_div_14 According to the District Police Office, Dhulikhel, they were rearrested after the district court ordered to release eight of them on bail while the district administration office ordered to release them on bail. The Area Police Office (APO) on Friday extended the remand of all those arrested on the charge of indecent behaviour.

} All the arrested police offices were involved in looting, vandalism and arson. One of the arrested was involved in robbing cash and gold from a bank in the capital.

{{TAG_OPEN_div_10} Earlier, the police had said that 37 prisoners who escaped from different prisons during the agitation were arrested from Kavre and sent to the concerned prison. Of them, 18 are from the central prison, 14 from the Dilli Bazar prison, three from the Nakkhu prison and two from the Sindhuli prison.

According to the office, 12 of murder, nine of forcible rape, four of drug abuse, four of theft, two of kidnapping and physical confinement, two of vehicular murder, two of fraud, one of human trafficking and one of overstay have been sent to the concerned prison office.TAG_OPEN_div_8  Four people from Kavre were killed in Kathmandu during the ‘Genji’ protest.
