NSU files police complaint against Balen, Sudan

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), the student wing of the Nepali Congress, has filed a complaint against Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah (Balen) and coordinator of Hami Nepal organization Sudan Gurung.

The NSU has lodged complaints at the District Police Range, Kathmandu and Lalitpur, demanding investigation into the untoward incidents that took place during the Zenji youth agitation on September 7 and 24.

The NSU has demanded investigation against the students for inciting them to take part in protest, causing damage to the national heritage by arson and vandalism and looting government and private property.

The complainants are NSU central committee members Manish Jung Thapa, Ashok Singh Bista and Bijaya Shah. They have filed a complaint within 24 hours and demanded the arrest of Balen and Sudan and an investigation.

Earlier, the All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU), which is close to the CPN-UML, had also lodged a complaint against them.
