Kathmandu. Hetauda: The Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City has banned the sale, distribution and production of plastic flowers.
Issuing a notice, the sub-metropolis has banned the sale, distribution and use of plastic flowers in the municipality in order to encourage local flower production.
Urging all to use natural garlands, the sub-metropolis has stated that it would be brought under the ambit of regulation if anyone found selling and using plastic garlands against the notice.
Chief Administrative Officer of the sub-metropolis, Bharat Gautam, said that it was the responsibility of all to produce and promote local products and natural indigenous flowers.
