Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to set up a facilitation desk at Bir Hospital in order to make effective the treatment of the targeted group who get free treatment for the poor, helpless and homeless people.
Chief of the Health Department of the metropolis Dipak KC and Director of the hospital Prof Shyam Prasad Shrestha were present on the occasion. Dr. Dilip Sharma signed the agreement.
As per the agreement, the hospital will provide space for the facilitation room. 3 manpower who have studied nursing in the classroom will be hired in contract service. Manpower
The remuneration will be provided by the metropolis. The patients coming for treatment will be taken to various private and community hospitals from the ward through KMC’s freehealth.nepal.gov.np.
The metropolis has been managing free health services for the targeted groups since February 15, 2080. Public health inspectors are coordinating this in the metropolis.
In this treatment service, people from any part of the country can get treatment including diagnosis, laboratory tests. The target group will get the service through any of the 3 options. First, if you have a poor ID card, you can go directly to the hospital. Secondly, if you do not have a disadvantaged identity card, you can go to the ward where you live by getting the service with the recommendation and documents including the survey certificate in the prescribed format. Thirdly, those who are unable to obtain documents in both cases can contact the Free Health Service Facilitation Unit of the metropolis with proof that they are poor. If the evidence is proven, the unit will make a recommendation.
So far, patients who need surgery for hernia, hydrocele, uterus, nerves and nerves, gall bladder stones, kidney stones, joints and nose, ear and throat have availed the facility of surgery. Similarly, under family medicine, he served for complications of diabetes, kidney disease, tuberculosis, high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, chronic liver disease, emergency health service, treatment of nerves and nerves, treatment of respiratory problems, urinary system and urinary problems.
A total of 380 beds have been attached to 53 hospitals run by the private sector.
