Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Farmers’ Federation has strongly objected to the derogatory words used by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Sah.

The federation has expressed serious concern over Mayor Shah’s remark on his Facebook status that farmers are ‘garbage’. President of the Federation Dr. “This statement that insults, demeans and hurts the self-respect of the farmers, the main and basic productive power of the country,” said the statement signed by Prem Dangal. ”

Stating that the statement was a blow to the self-respect of the farmers, the federation said it was unfortunate that such comments were made by a person holding a responsible position in the metropolis.

The federation has demanded Mayor Sah to remove his Facebook status and publicly apologize to the farmers. Otherwise, the federation has warned of protests.
