Karnali. A meeting of the Council of Ministers of Karnali Province has decided to provide martyrs memorial allowance worth Rs 50 million.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers presided over by Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel today decided to provide Rs 25.5 million as martyr’s memorial allowance and Rs 22.9 million as living allowance.

Spokesperson of the Karnali province government and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Binod Kumar Shah said that the decision was taken to send the budget to the local level through the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning as per the clause 5 (3) of the Karnali Province Appropriation Act, 2082.

Likewise, the meeting decided to approve the Karnali Province Supplementary Grant (first amendment) Work Procedure, 2082, Karnali Province Special Grants (first amendment) Work Procedure, 2082, Karnali Province Conditional Grants (first amendment) Work Procedure, 2082 and Incident Management and Dispatch Procedure Directive-2082 for the victims of gender-based violence.
