Court services can’t be halted even for a day: PM Karki

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the services of the court should not be stopped even for a day. During a joint meeting with the Board of Directors of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and the Supreme Court delegation, she opined that the services of the court should not be stopped.

According to PM Karki’s Secretariat, the meeting discussed the arrangement of alternative arrangement after the Kathmandu District Court building was damaged.

Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Bimal Poudel, had requested the government to provide the building of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) at Babarmahal. In this context, Prime Minister Karki directed the authorities to provide the building of the NRA as the services of the court could not be stopped.

An agreement has been reached that the NRA will provide the building conditionally for the time being. Prime Minister Karki had directed the authorities to provide the building after an understanding between the court and the NRA.
