Manang. With the end of monsoon, the weather in the mountainous district of Manang has opened up. With the beginning of the season, foreign tourists arrive here. This season is also taken as the season for tourists.
According to the Annapurna Area Conservation Project (ACAP) Unit Office, more than seven thousand tourists have arrived in the first month of this year’s season. ACAP’s conservation education assistant Bhupendra Gurung said that 7,461 tourists have arrived in the last one and half months.
According to him, 1,127 people from Israel, 501 from Germany, 466 from the UK and 441 from Australia have visited the Annapurna trekking route, Thoranggla pass (pass), Larke pass and Tilicho lake since the beginning of the season.
“Citizens from 87 countries of the world have also visited the scenic places of Manang. It is expected that the disappointed people of Manang as well as the country’s economy will pick up momentum,” said Gurung, a conservation education assistant.
Binod Gurung, president of the Association of Tourism Entrepreneurs, said that there was problem in the arrival of tourists due to the Jenji movement and floods and landslides towards the end of monsoon. “The income level of Manang has an impact on the country’s economy. The Jenji movement was also withdrawing hotels booked by foreign tourists. Now, as peace is being maintained in the country, the number of arrivals is increasing. ’
The number of foreign and domestic tourists has increased in Manang, which was deserted after the Genji movement. According to the tourism entrepreneurs, the arrival of tourists should increase after the end of the monsoon.
Nabin Bikram Singh, a hotel entrepreneur, said that the hotels that had cancelled their bookings are now full. “The number of tourists has not been as much as it should have been,” he said. But now there has been an influx of foreign tourists. Tourism and hoteliers have speculated that tourists might have been more worried after the burning of the Hilton Hotel, which is considered to be the biggest hotel in the country.
During this time, tourists were seen in abundance on the roads and footpaths of Manang. But this year, there aren’t many. There has been no full influx of tourists. All three tiers of government should pay attention to ease the journey and roads of Manang, which affects the country’s economy. Nowadays, the trend of tourists is increasing among Nepali citizens as well. It has been found to be linked to risky travel and the promotion of rural tourism. It is also promoting domestic tourism.
Foreign tourists especially come here to enjoy human life and natural beauty. In the age of technology, people come to feel the real natural human life.
Tourists come here to see the scenery of the mountains, hills, culture, tradition and natural beauty of the people of Manang. Similarly, tourists can reach Pokhara from Manang via Mustang via Annapurna, one of the 10th most risky trekking routes in the world.
The trek starts from Lamjung Besisahar Municipality-7, Manange Chautara, the entrance to the Annapurna trekking route. Lamjung, Manang, Mustang, Myagdi and Kaski districts are connected to the Annapurna trekking route. Tourists come from Kathmandu to Besisahar by vehicles. In recent times, people have been able to reach Chame and Khangsar by vehicles after the easy access to road transport. Only then can one travel on the trekking route to the main destination.
